Armor Generation Edit

  • Standard armor generation follows three steps:
    1. two armors are created, their type being randomly and independently selected from the table at Armor/probabilities,
    2. each armor has its level randomized following the table at Armor/random,
    3. the armor which required strength is closest to 10 + numberOfGeneratedPotionsOfStrength (theoretical Hero/ine strength, except for Warriors) is selected and dropped on the floor (75 %), put in an unlocked chest (20 %) or hidden in skeletal remains (5 %).
  • In crypts, the above process is repeated 4 times, then the armor with higher level (not required strength) amongst these 4 armors is selected.
  • In flooded vaults and rooms of traps, the generation is more complicated, as it involves weapon generation too.

Say that only 1 Potion of Strength has been generated so far: If an armor is generated (out of crypt, flooded vault and room of traps), it has a 33.831 % probability to be a Leather armor. If you find instead a Scale armor (12.806 %) it has a (13+98+552)/6483 = 10.227 % probability to be cursed.

Armor required strength Edit

The required strength of armor is calculated as:

requiredStrength = 7 + tier × 2 - level
Example

+4 Mail armor is tier 3 so it will have a required strength:

7 + 3 × 2 - 4 = 9

Damage absorption Edit

The amount of damage absorbed is a discrete uniform distribution between 0 and the maximum damage absorption:

maxAbsorption = 2(tier-1) + tier×level
Example

+3 Scale armor is tier 4 so it will have maximum absorption of:

2(4-1) + 4×3 = 20
